Bible Study: Kingdom Keys To The Supernatural Provision & Increase of God: Part 1: God's Promise of Provision

And seek not you what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be of doubtful mind. For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knows that you have need of these things. But rather seek first the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you. Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom." [Luke 12:28-32]
 

PROMISES OF PROVISION!
The Scriptures state plainly that God’s plan for provision applies to every one of His children. Unfortunately, for most of God’s people they either have little knowledge of these promises, or they lack the understanding of how to access them. The result is that most of the Body of Christ is in debt, they suffer lack, and the people of God fail to walk in the supernatural provision of God that Christ purchased for us at the cross.
 
Almighty God, our heavenly Father has promised numerous times in His Word, guaranteeing and confirming that he WILL provide for us - He WILL provide for and supply our every need. The Word of God states plainly that God’s will for us is to be fully supplied with everything we need in order to live an abundant, overflowing, victorious life that enables us to show forth the goodness and mercy of God and His desire to provide for those that love Him and serve Him.
 
So What Is the Problem?
The problem is that the average Christian, as well as most ministers, have no idea, or find it difficult to believe what God has really said regarding these things – and those that do have some knowledge unfortunately have little understanding of how to actually obtain the provision that the Scriptures promise with any consistent success.

LEARN FROM ISRAEL’S MISTAKES:
Romans 15:4 and 1Corinthians 10:11 tells us that the things that happened to Israel were written down so that WE might learn from their mistakes. Israel is a perfect example of how God’s people can fail miserably in obtaining the promises of God’s provision.
 
Consider for a moment the situation that Israel faced when they came to the borders of the land of Canaan. A land of provision and abundance was within their grasp. God had done everything He had promised, and delivered them from the bondage of slavery that they were in for so long. He brought them right to the borders of the promised-land. All they had to do to ENTER it was to TRUST God and his promises. BELIEVE what God had said and ACT upon it.
 
But what did they do?
Instead of BELIEVING God’s Word and TRUSTING in His promises, they chose to listen to the doubt and unbelief of 10 men who thought they knew better than God. These 10 mean are like so many today that neither believe nor trust in what the scriptures say regarding this subject. Instead they have developed their own ideas and opinions, and in doing so they fail to enter into the place of abundant provision. Worse yet, they spread their doubt and unbelief by teaching others.
 
What was the result for Israel?
An entire GENERATION failed to enter into the land of provision and abundance, and instead spent the rest of their lives wandering in the wilderness, never experiencing the fullness of what God had made available to them had they only believed His Words to them.
 
So it is with many of God’s people today. Instead of trusting in what the Word of God SAYS, they follow the failures of others and endeavor to access that which is promised with little or no success.

GET IT SETTLED OR FORGET IT!
Overcoming lack of knowledge is fairly simple. All one need do is to go into the WORD of God and READ what God has said in His Word about the subject of provision. One cannot act upon what one does not KNOW. Therefore, we must FIRST learn for ourselves what God has said – IN HIS WORD – about these things.
 
Overcoming doubt and unbelief is a bit harder because there are so many today in the Body of Christ that would argue what the Scriptures say, and prefer to debate the subject rather than accept the truth of the God’s promises. They look to the poverty of others and use it as a means to validate their OPINIONS and IDEAS regarding the subject. Those that do this fail to understand that God’s WORD is true even if the whole world fails to access the promises contained in it.
 
BEFORE we can ever hope to walk in the promises of God for supernatural provision and overflow we must FIRST get it settled in our own hearts that what GOD SAID is TRUE. There must be NO doubt, no uncertainty and no unbelief. The promises of God are accessed (Obtained) by FAITH! Where doubt, uncertainty, confusion and unbelief appear, faith is hindered and the promises go unfulfilled in our life.
 
Therefore we must first LEARN the promises, and secondly settle it that they ARE TRUE – and we will BELIEVE them regardless of our past failures or the failure of others to obtain them.
 

OVERCOMING FEAR:
“If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and tomorrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith? And seek not you what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be of doubtful mind. For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knows that you have need of these things. But rather seek first the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you. Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” [Luke 12:28-32] 
 
Consider for a few moments the importance of what Jesus stated in the above passage. He first explains to us that if God WILL see to it that if He attends to the needs of something as common and unimportant as GRASS – Then surely He WILL provide for us: BUT! We must have FAITH in Him to do so. We must TRUST Him.
 
Jesus continues by exhorting us to get rid of our DOUBTFUL MIND because our Heavenly Father KNOWS what we need to live. Again, He tells us that FAITH is the KEY to obtaining the promised provision.

Finally, Jesus bring comfort to us by ASSURING us that it is God’s GOOD PLEASURE to “give us the Kingdom” – and exhorts us to “FEAR NOT”. In other words: “Stop being afraid”.

You see, fear is the OPPOSITE of faith – and faith is the means whereby we ACCESS all the promises of God, starting with salvation and extending to all the things that accompany salvation because of the finished work of Christ on the cross.
 
• "For by grace are ye saved THOUGH FAITH; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:" [Ephesians 2:8]
 
• "Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
By whom also we have access BY FAITH into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God." [Romans 5:1-2]
 

KNOWLEDGE OF GOD’S PROMISES IS THE KEY:
“My people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge” [Hosea 4:6]

Notice that the major problem that faces God’s people today is that they don’t KNOW what they need to know. This is WHY so many of God’s people fail to walk in the promise of supernatural supply and provision.
 
It is only when the people of God finally begin to LEARN what the promises of God ARE regarding this subject – And BELIEVE them that the supernatural provision of God will begin to manifest in their lives.
